[help] How is Ducky's present day build quality?

submission by PrismaMiyu in MechanicalKeyboards

I'm considering the Ducky Year of the Goat but I was not too impressed with the build quality of the Ducky Shine 2 (was the last Ducky board I've tried). It felt like several pieces where as my filcos feel like a single slab of rock solid titanium.

My mech-keyboard history has been: Filco Majestouch > Ducky Shine 2 > Filco Majestouch 2.

Has the Ducky build quality improved? I am almost hesitant to say I want nothing less than FIlco's build quality because that may sound dumb, but damn I do love the way my Majestouch 2 feels. Why do I want a new keyboard? I want to try mx reds but I cant justify getting yet another Filco (but who knows maybe that's just what I'll do eventually).

[US - DC] [H] Verified PayPal [W] Broken TKL or spare TKL case

I recently picked up a Filco that was missing caps and a case. Anyone have a broken keyboard that I can salvage the case off of or an extra case from a previous build? Cheaper the better as I don't necessarily need a metal case (though I'd consider one for the right price)

Keyboard for Surface Pro 3

I'm an engineering student, so I do a fair bit of programming. I like the surface keyboard but it isn't ideal for when I need to do some serious programming/typing. Would you recommend that I get something like a Pok3r now, or keep waiting until I can find a good bluetooth keyboard like a filco or a Varmillo VB660M?

Uniform 55g weighted keys, and I'm in LOVE coming from a Filco with 45cN browns.
