AC/DC are a hard rock band formed in 1973 by Malcolm and Angus Young in Sydney, Australia. After going through several members they released their debut High Voltage with Bon Scott on vocals. The band released another 7 albums before Bon's untimely death in 1980.
After mourning the loss of a dear friend, Angus and Malcolm decided to start auditioning for another singer. In the words of Mal, "Bon would've wanted it." They ended up hiring ex-Geordie vocalist Brian Johnson and went on to release their biggest album ever, Back In Black.
AC/DC has since added another 9 studio albums and 2 live albums to their discography. There is no doubt that AC/DC are one of the biggest rock and roll bands of our time. Still touring and playing to sold out stadiums around the world, we have not seen the last of them yet.
AC/DC ARE NOT RETIRING OR BREAKING UP
ROCK OR BUST! Finally we have it. The new album by the mighty AC/DC. With the recent retirement of Malcolm, we were worried that we had heard the end of AC/DC, but with Mal's nephew Stevie stepping in and not disappointing we have them back. Personal and legal issues led to the departure of Phil Rudd for the Rock Or Bust World Tour, who was replaced on drums by former band member Chris Slade. The band has not made a formal announcement about Rudd's (or Slade's) future with AC/DC beyond 2015.
Rock Or Bust World Tour kicked off April 10, 2015 at Coachella with 55 dates planned for North America, Europe, the British Isles, Australia and New Zealand.
Current touring members are:
- Angus Young (lead guitar)
- Stevie Young (rhythm guitar)
- Axl Rose (vocals)
- Cliff Williams (bass)
- Chris Slade (drums)
