A note about Petitions, Community standards, and Moderation

Be kind and please report any violation of the Rules!

Community Guidelines Specifics

  1. No spam or blog spam. Articles should have original content. Articles that just link to other articles with no original content will be removed. Blog Spam is an Article/Page that simply directly copies other people's work, with or without a direct citation. This is different from an article that is creating new content and citing sources to support its content. Essentially, like a college essay: These submission can agree AND cite as many points as it would like, but only if new information is added to support an original point or statement.

  2. No flaming, name calling, bullying, trolling or inciting unmerited arguments. Discuss your point, but be civil about it. No attacks, please utilize down-votes as a form of community moderation, not for disagreement. IF you see someone doing this, please message the mods.

  3. No "ID this for me" threads, "How to avoid drug test" threads, "where can I find x or x that deals x" threads. This subreddit does not exist to help you locate or identify Marijuana, nor does it exist to help you pass drug tests.

  4. We encourage the use of informative images, infographics, gifs, and video. This is an educational / informative subreddit. Please keep any images relevant to the subreddit. Keep it classy. No "stash" pictures.

  5. No editorialized or misleading titles; and also, no articles that claim to be factual yet lack sound sources or evidence accepted by the academic community. Please read your submission before you submit!

  6. No same-week reposts. Reposts, double posts, etc: When a story is very popular, we sometimes get basically the exact same article from different sources posted several times. If users here could take the time to see what has been recently posted and ensure their own submission is not redundant, that would be great.

  7. Submissions asking for donations/contributions to charity/political events must be redirected to appropriate weekly thread or approved by the moderator team.

  8. All petitions or activism submitted must be for functional Legalization or Rescheduling. Submissions that encourage activism towards only decriminalization or legalization of specific strains, must be verified as a functional proposal. There have been measures in the past that have passed but only to serve as a distraction or limitation of greater progress (Such as legislation in the US that allows for MMJ to be dispensed by FDA approved pharmacies, despite the fact that the FDA does not approve MMJ, thus rendering the legislation defunct) Any other type of petition must be approved by the moderation team. All Petitions must be submitted in self-post form.

  9. Soliciting or Promotion of any kind must only occur in approved formats, all other submissions must be approved by the moderation team. Approved formats listed below.

The mod team reserves the right to moderate the content of this community on behalf of the well-being of the community, in any method necessary to ensure unity and progress is upheld. The moderator team shall develop methods to ensure there is transparency in our approach to moderation.
