Summer Glau is an American actress born on the 24th of July 1981 in San Antonio, Texas. She moved to Los Angeles, California, in 2002 to pursue an acting career after a foot injury ruined her chances of becoming a professional dancer.
She is most known for her roles as River Tam in Firefly/Serenity, Cameron in Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles and Orwell in The Cape. She has also guest starred on various shows including The 4400, The Unit, Dollhouse, The Big Bang Theory, Grey's Anatomy, Chuck and Alphas.
During her years active she has amassed a great following from the sci-fi/geek/nerd crowd, not only due to her stunning looks but also because of the lovable roles she's played.
