• Post really cute pictures, videos and stories
• Post your own, original content whenever possible
• Attribute original content creators whenever possible
• Check Karma Decay before you post a pic that you found online. Somebody else might have posted the same image/vid recently.
• Follow reddiquette.

Please Don't:

• Post things that will make us sad (animals that have passed can be posted to /r/petloss, animals that are lost or up for adoption can be posted to your local subreddit)
• Ask for upvotes or approval in the title (eg. Any love for...?, What does /r/aww think of...?, This didn't get much love in /r/pics...)
• Post comics or pictures with captions (try /r/lolcats, /r/fffffffuuuuuuuuuuuu, /r/vertical...)
• Post pics from your personal facebook/twitter/instagram/google+ page

Posts that fit any of the "Please don't" criteria are subject to removal.

Please spay and neuter your animals! While your newborn animals are cute, failing to do this allows your little darlings to add to the population of homeless pets. Adopt pets from your local animal rescues, there's plenty of animals just waiting for a home.
