Grime is an English music genre that branched out of garage in the early 2000's. It is typically around 140 bpm and features dark, heavy basslines and unique, futuristic sounds. It often features Mc's who use jungle, garage and drum and bass inspired flows.

Grime is often associated with other British music genres; Other genres include garage, speed garage, bassline, 4x4, drum and bass, dubstep, jungle, garage house, funky, 2 step, road rap, UK hiphop, dub and reggae.

Rules & Regulations

  • Do NOT post anything that isn't grime related. If it's a grime MC on a different genre that is fine to post as long as you make that clear within the title.

  • Do NOT post any links to illegal downloads of mixtapes, albums or songs that you would normally have to pay for.

  • Please check the search with "Limit search to /r/grime" before posting to try and prevent reposts. It's ok to post a link that has been submitted a considerable amount of time ago, use your judgement.

  • No Memes

  • No blog spam. Please always link to official sources for news and interviews, not an article you've written that just repeats another source.

  • Though there is /r/grimeinstrumentals, it is still ok to post instrumentals here.

If Your post is not in the "New" tab then message one of the Mods to check in the spam filter filter for your post.
