Lockpicking Tool of the Month

Plug Spinner

This lockpicking tool used to quickly rotate a plug that has been picked in the wrong direction to the direction that will open the lock. It does this so quickly that the pins pass the shearline without re-setting into the locked position.

>##Rules >1: We do not facilitate illegal or inappropriate activities, which includes picking locks that are not owned by you. Also, be sure that you are familiar with any legal issues for your state or country. > >2: When asking questions on specific sets/picks, make sure you read the FAQ and search the sub first. > >3: Amazon.com and Massdrop.com questions, links, or recommendations will be autoremoved. Both are highly overpriced, look for pick recommendations in the wiki. > >4: Though asking for assistance in regards to how to open a lock is permitted and encouraged, the lock must not be in use. Any submission looking for assistance in opening a lock that is implied to be, or is visibly in use (i.e. a deadbolt still attached to a door, or a padlock with anything secured by a closed shackle) will be locked by the moderators. When asking advice on opening a lock that is not in use, provide as much detail as possible i.e. a picture of the lock, and its key, if possible in a "workbench" setting.
> >5: DO NOT ASK FOR EMERGENCY LOCKPICKING SERVICES, THESE WILL BE AUTO-REMOVED. > >6: Hate speech, bigotry, and personal attacks are not allowed. > >7: We are a small community; be helpful and friendly to newcomers. > >8: Absolutely no astroturfing. > >9: Posts not related to lockpicking will be removed. > >10: We reserve the right to remove posts, remove comments, and ban users at our own discretion.
