Over 2,000,000 Americans are currently incarcerated. A far larger number have been in prison, and many will return in the future.

Systemic abuse- rape, neglect, and torture, occur in many countries, both developed and developing. Politics often gets in the way of effective solutions to dealing with issues such as violence, overcrowding, and recidivism in prison.

This is a place to discuss what's being uncovered in the prison system, who's being held responsible, and what's being done to reform the broken system at any level.
